Joe Weider used to tell me “Bodybuilding isn’t about the physiques. It’s about the stories and the things we can learn from our greatest champions.”

I was reminded of this recently when I received a copy of a book called Vince’s Secret Locker, a beautifully crafted hardcover special edition authored by Karl Coyne, a bodybuilder turned writer who has spent the last 30 years entrenched in the world of muscle.

The book celebrates the wisdom and teachings of Vince Gironda, the legendary Iron Guru, gym owner, and trusted advisor to many of the most influential bodybuilders of his generation.

As I turned the pages I was quickly reminded why I fell in love with bodybuilding as a kid. Vince’s Secret Locker is a treasure trove of practical information presented beautifully by Coyne. The information found in this book is a throwback to a simpler time when physiques were built on basic principles and practical implementation.

When I asked Coyne why he decided to take on this project, he explained “As with any author, my goal is to produce books that people find entertaining. Vince Gironda wasn’t influenced by others. He simply trained smart, got fast results, and created a legacy that still inspires and teaches us today.”

Gironda passed away in 1997 just before his 80th birthday, but his impact on the world of muscle is still felt today. Vince’s Secret Locker is one of the finest and most beautifully presented collections of muscle-building wisdom ever assembled, a well-deserved tribute to a man who helped define the golden era of bodybuilding.

For more information and to order your copy, visit www.VincesSecretLocker.com – And if you’re able to get your hands on one of the remaining Enhanced Edition hardcover copies. I highly recommend it. It’ll look great on your coffee table and the information is well worth the purchase price.
